The entrance of the stubai valley is well known for the two skiing- and hiking areas Schlick2000 and Serlesbahnen. Fulpmes with its rich village culture and its old tradition of blacksmithing is also worth for a visit. Due to its close distance to the Stubai Glacier, Neustift is the best-known and most visited spot of stubai valley. It is the central starting point for hiking tours to the surrounding valleys.
Winter Wonderland - Skiing and Snowboarding
The Stubai valley guarantees winter fun from October till April. The four big skiing areas - Stubai Glacier, Elfer Lifte, Schlick 200 and Serlesbahnen offer countless kilometres of slopes and ski-runs. The stubai glacier is the biggest glacier skiing area of the whole region and the hotspot for skiing in the Alps. With a total of 26 cable cars and ski lifts variety is guranteed!
Alpine pastures and huts
The valley has a variety of alpine pastures and huts. Charming and rustical places can be found in the whole valley. Numerous delicacies and specialities are offered and are worth tasting.
Entrance of the valley
At the entrance of the valley you find the villages of Schönberg, Mieders and Fulpmes. Fulpmes can look back on a centuries-old tradition of blacksmithing. A own museum and many history-charged places are indicators for that tradition.
Stubai & tradition
The stubai valley can look back at a long and rich tradition. Tourism has developed the valley further in the last 100 years, but still there is a special atmosphere and charme. Far away from mass tourism the Stubai valley offers a variety of places to relax and rest. Especially the side-valleys and places at the end of the valley are worth visiting and offer pure nature!
